Suitable for newly adopted, adolesecent or adult dogs which have not attended any previous training classes. The course provides lots of guidance, knowledge and key skills for you to start and continue on your training journey. Based in Clayton ST5 4AZ. Small, relaxed classes with a maximum of 10 dogs per class.
You will learn useful skills on how to train successfully through lots of practical work, fun games, group exercises and discussions.
All dogs need to be dog friendly and comfortable being around other people/dogs in a learning environment (community hall). If your dog is nervous/anxious, i recommend you attend for at least 2 weeks to allow your dog to adjust and settle within a class environment. On some occasions, 121's may be the preferred option.
There is a good mix theory, practical work and some good fun exercises and games too. To get a taste of classes, please visit the training Facebook page.
IMDT Code of Ethics is adhered to which includes: NO FORCED TRAINING meaning no tugging/pulling on your dog's lead/collar/harness, shouting, pushing/manhandling your dog to do something and NO use of prong or chain collars.
