Why Group Walks?
Group walks are a fantastic way for your dog(s) to improve and learn socialisation skills through making friends and interacting with each other. For high energy dogs, we try and match with similar characters so they can have a great time running around! Check out the facebook feed on the right!
For puppies who progress onto the walks from classes, this is a huge learning experience for them and lots of attention is provided.
Where do we walk?
We have lots of great locations in and around Newcastle.
- Lyme Valley Parkway
- Apedale Country Park
- Bunny Hill, Clayton
- Hanchurch Woods
How do group walks work?
We walk groups of dogs which are matched in character and energy or which can work well together.
Some dogs just like a chilled walk to mooch about and have a sniff, others like to run around and find water or other fun things. Our dogs are all different.
We take great care to ensure all dogs receive lots of supervision and interaction from the walker which include some basic training, enrichment activities and more.
We do not keep dogs in our vehicles whilst doing other walks.. we do not agree with this type of working!

Safety, Supervision & Responsibility
4Paws’ is a responsible business and we have poop bag carriers or ‘Dicky Bag’ on all walks. This has always been a policy since launching in 2013 and are proud of it!
We aim to keep all our dogs close and don’t let them stray off too far. Good recall training is a must!
